Today was fun!
Small bean and I went to Olympia for the usual chores, but also....
She got her very first pedicure :)
Bad picture in the parking lot but I'm sure you get the idea.
We had lunch at Red Robin.
And we hit Michaels, Costco, Cash and Carry, Dollar Tree and Menchies! Full day. Also we got all of the supplies needed to fill the "blue box". Once she writes a letter the whole shebang will get put in the post (hopefully tomorrow). I hope it makes the little girl on the receiving end feel loved.

Art journaling
We have been getting all creative and having fun with our art journaling these past couple of weeks.
I thought I might share here some of my pages, for some reason I feel compelled to put them somewhere on the www - because I am ever so thankful to those who inspired (and continue to inspire) me. If my journals inspire even one person I am THRILLED :)
Art journaling has no rules but there are a ton of great tutorials on the internet and that is where we've started.
This was my very first page...
Next up was this - I guess I was having food issues that day :)
I actually have the most fun making backgrounds, I'm falling in love with water colors but so far we are also using acrylics, markers, pastels, glues, mod podge, old books and magazines.
The following pages were made on a day I found out friends of ours had moved out of town without saying goodbye. My heart was hurting a little but this was very therapeutic.
This one was one of my favorite back grounds to make and I created the rest of the page a full week after creating the back ground.
Today the little bean and I watched several videos about collage in your art journal and we got some really fun tips. I was eager to give it a try and I made this....
And the final art journal page I have to share with you is a background I did today for the brief moment the sun was shining- who knows what it will become!?
We also worked on a box to send to Rebekah's best friend who is the child of said friends who moved. Since her friend's favorite color is blue we decided on a blue theme and will be shopping for small items tomorrow to fill it up. This is what we have so far -
